Everything we do, in full

Two halves of one practice. Hardware and infrastructure covers the physical layer — benches, cabinets, cabling and the equipment that sits on them. Software and enterprise systems covers what runs above it. Most clients take work from both columns.

A

Hardware & Infrastructure

On the bench & on site
  1. A.01

    Computer Repairs & Hardware Diagnostics

Fault-finding to the component rather than the box. We test, isolate and quote before any part is ordered, and we say plainly when a machine is not worth repairing instead of billing a rebuild into a dead chassis.

    • Power, board and thermal fault diagnosis
    • Storage recovery and drive replacement
    • Screen, keyboard and battery replacement on laptops
    • Operating-system repair, reimaging and data migration
    • Written diagnosis and quote before work proceeds
  2. A.02

    Custom PC & Workstation Builds

Precision assembly against the work the machine has to do. A CAD or rendering workstation, a trading desk, a development box and a reception terminal are four different specifications, and we build them that way rather than to one house spec.

    • Specification against workload, not a fixed catalogue tier
    • Component selection, assembly, cable management and burn-in testing
    • Memory, storage and GPU upgrades to existing fleets
    • Standard operating environment imaging across a rollout
    • Asset tagging and handover documentation
  3. A.03

    Network Configuration & Enterprise Routing

Routing, switching and segmentation configured for the business rather than left on factory defaults. VLANs that separate guest, point-of-sale and back-office traffic; firewall rules that are documented; and failover that has actually been tested.

    • Router, switch and firewall configuration and hardening
    • VLAN segmentation and inter-VLAN routing
    • Site-to-site and remote-access VPN
    • Fibre links with LTE failover for when the line drops
    • Network documentation and configuration backups
  4. A.04

    Structured Cabling & Wi-Fi Coverage

Cabling installed to standard, labelled at both ends and certified — because the cost of an unlabelled cabinet is paid later, by whoever has to trace it. Wi-Fi planned against the floor plan and the building material, then verified on site.

    • Cat6 and Cat6A installation, termination and certification
    • Cabinet build-outs, patch panels and labelling schedules
    • Access-point placement planning and post-install survey
    • Mesh and controller-based Wi-Fi for multi-floor sites
    • Remedial work on inherited or undocumented cabling
  5. A.05

    Hardware Procurement

Equipment sourced at trade pricing through accredited distribution, delivered imaged and installed rather than dropped in a box. We quote the warranty terms and the lead time up front, including when a part is on allocation.

    • Dell, Lenovo and comparable business-class equipment
    • Servers, workstations, laptops, docking and peripherals
    • Network equipment, UPS and power protection
    • Warranty registration and lead-time visibility on every quote
    • Staged delivery for phased rollouts

Software & Enterprise Systems

Above the physical layer
  1. B.01

    Managed IT Services

A support contract where the monitoring does the work. Disk failures, failed backups and expiring certificates surface as tickets we open, not as calls you make. Patching runs to a schedule, with a maintenance window you agreed to.

    • Helpdesk with defined response targets
    • Proactive monitoring of workstations, servers and network devices
    • Scheduled operating-system and third-party patching
    • Endpoint protection deployment and alert triage
    • Offsite backup with restore drills that are tested, not assumed
    • Asset register and monthly service reporting
  2. B.02

    Database Architecture & Design

Schema designed around how the business actually queries its data, not around how the first spreadsheet happened to be laid out. We also take on the unhappy version of this job: normalising a database that grew without a plan.

    • Relational schema design, normalisation and indexing strategy
    • PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL Server workloads
    • Query profiling and performance remediation
    • Migration and consolidation from spreadsheets or legacy systems
    • Backup, point-in-time recovery and retention policy
  3. B.03

    Custom API Development

The integrations off-the-shelf software will not do. Accounting talking to the warehouse system, a booking platform pushing into a CRM, a supplier feed that arrives as a file and has to become a record — built, documented and monitored.

    • REST and webhook API design and implementation
    • Third-party integration with accounting, CRM and logistics platforms
    • Authentication, rate limiting and audit logging
    • OpenAPI documentation handed over with the build
    • Staging environment and versioned release process
  4. B.04

    Secure Cloud System Integration

Joining the systems you already run without opening the perimeter to do it. Identity in one place, least-privilege access, encrypted transport, and a record of which service is permitted to reach which.

    • Microsoft 365 and Entra ID tenant setup and clean-up
    • Single sign-on and multi-factor enforcement
    • Hybrid on-premises to cloud integration
    • Mailbox, file-share and tenant migration
    • Secrets handling and service-to-service access control
  5. B.05

    POPIA Compliance Advisory

The technical side of the Protection of Personal Information Act: knowing where personal information actually sits, who can reach it, how long it is kept, and being able to show that on request. Advisory on controls — not legal advice.

    • Data mapping: what personal information is held and where
    • Access reviews and least-privilege remediation
    • Retention and deletion rules applied to live systems
    • Encryption at rest and in transit
    • Incident-response readiness and breach-notification preparation

Vendor accreditation

Reseller accreditation in progress

We are working through reseller and partner accreditation with the vendors our clients already run. Those applications are open, not yet complete — until each one is confirmed we source and support this hardware and licensing through accredited distribution, so a client’s rollout never waits on our paperwork.

  • Dell Workstations, laptops and PowerEdge servers. Accreditation in progress
  • Lenovo ThinkPad fleets, ThinkCentre desktops and docking. Accreditation in progress
  • Microsoft Microsoft 365 licensing, Entra ID and Azure tenants. Accreditation in progress

Vendor names appear for identification only. We will state each accreditation here once it has been granted, and not before. POPIA advisory covers technical and organisational controls; it is not a substitute for legal advice.
